What Timing!

Sussex County Council knowing how controversial their plans for the A24 are,
have, with all the tact of an elephant in a china shop, deemed the 4th of
January 2005 the first working day after the Christmas and New Year break, a
suitable time for the Councils Planning committee to consider the planning
application for the gap closure and associated works on the A24 Ashington -
Southwater.
Peter Finch for the A24 Alliance said: "Talk about trying to bury bad news, if any date was ideal this one has to be perfect.

The A24 Alliance was formed in January 2003 by a number of residents who live in the various villages and individual locations along the A24 from Dorking to Worthing.
